Raising money for your charity is hard, applying here is not.

Twice a year in Northland, the Unity Syndicate puts on an event where we give you the time and an audience of a minimum of 125 people to tell your story. You are up against other local charities to secure the minimum of $10,000* first prize.

What Happens Next

After all three groups/individuals have presented during their 5 minute slot, then all of the syndicate members place a vote for which story they heard was the most deserving of the first prize. 
But don't worry, it's not the best presentation that will win, because there are no fancy presentations, celebrity endorsements, videos, or slideshows allowed. All you have is two turntables and a microphone, without the turntables...
​It is the best story told during the event that will likely win the hearts of the syndicate.
​All you need is 5 minutes of courage to make a massive difference to yourself or the group that you support.

The Rules Of Engagement

We're really not huge fans of rules, so here they are for you to read over.
​

• Must be a local non-profit charity, organisation, or individual - based within 50km of the Unity Syndicate that you are presenting in front of.
• If an organisation or charity - must also have been operating for at least 12 months at time of applying for funding.
• Local sports and school groups are also eligible.
• Cannot be part of a national or international organisation - we are all about local grass roots support.
• Be willing to have the presentation filmed and or photographed.
•  Are only eligible to apply to present to the Unity Syndicate once in any 12 month period.
• There is no limit to how many times a particular charity or group can win - the syndicate chooses the winner each time based on what is heard.
